I became a therapist because a difficult situation happened in my life and, after participating in therapy, I was able to process it and move forward. Now, I am able to handle similar situations in a healthier way and can apply the lessons learned in other aspects of my life.
Therapy is a way to grow as a human and learn more about who you are. Together we will explore daily challenges, past regrets, negative thoughts, or interactions with others. I work with people who have anxiety, depression, anger, and working through life's stressors and changes. I help clients establish healthy boundaries and increase self-esteem.
I believe that the relationship between the therapist and client is crucial to progress. People who work with me feel heard, respected, and challenged to dig deeper. We will create a safe space to practice the skills or thoughts that can be used outside of our appointments to help lead to a healthier life. My style is to utilize the strengths you already possess to help resolve the stressors or difficulties in life.
Something unique about my approach to therapy is my use of humor while being direct in challenging negative thoughts and my use of creative interventions and activities.
